A little About: Coach David Tan

What is your greatest strength as a coach?

– It’s my meticulousness and strictness in technique. I always ensure students perform every detail correctly to achieve maximum, safe, and sustainable results.

Which training session do you enjoy the most, and why?

– It’s when students build muscle, burn fat, and push beyond their limits, all while laughing along the way. My program combines heavy lifting, high-intensity cardio, and a touch of my humor—effective and fun at the same time.

What is the most common misconception people have about you?

– People often think I look young, gentle, and approachable, so I must be less strict. In reality, I place great emphasis on discipline and technique—I just like to create a comfortable atmosphere, serious yet fun during training sessions.

What’s the silliest question you’ve ever been asked?

– The silliest question I’ve ever been asked is: ‘Coach, if I train less, will I lose weight faster?’ I always tell my students that training and nutrition must go hand in hand to achieve real results.
